Space Adventures Ltd. announced today that Richard Garriott has begun preparations for a mission to the international space station in October 2008. Well known for his passion of adventure travel, Richard Garriott is enthusiastic about his journey to the stars. When asked about the flight, his response was:
“I am dedicating my spaceflight to science. It is my goal to devote a significant amount of my time aboard the space station to science, engineering and educational projects."
