PTS Contest? Black dye? Where is it at? How do I get it?

We told you about a Public Test Server Contest coming soon that would give you the opportunity to get hold of the much coveted black dye. We know each of you is interested in this dye because it provides better cover while in battle. AFS soldiers would certainly not be interested in the day for cosmetic reasons. Here is how you get the dye.

Every person with an active account who spends over two hours on the Public Test Server during this promotion period will get 10 Charcoal Colored Armor Dyes on all of their live characters courtesy of the AFS! You can’t get black dye anywhere in-game currently; you must play on test during this contest to get this über loot.

"When and how can I get the black dye?" I hear you say, well read on.

This promotion runs from Monday, January 21, 2008 at 12:01am (Central) to Monday, January 28, 2008 at 11:59pm (Central).
Log in to the PTS anytime during this period with your Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa active account username and password and play for more than 2 hours to be eligible. You must have an active account to be eligible. We will be counting cumulative time, not consecutive time – so you don’t have to play for two hours at a time to qualify. At the end of the promotion period, all your characters on your live account will be getting 10 Charcoal Colored Armor Dyes, accessible through the miscellaneous section of their backpacks.

Be sure to grab them before the promotion runs out, but don't forget to /bug , /bug, /bug if you spot any of those ugly beasts while you're on the PTS!
